Praying for your loved ones!
Praying for your loved ones!
Honoring and Remembering Your Loved Ones
In moments of unimaginable loss, words often feel inadequate. For families who have lost a beloved child, sibling, parent, or friend to a school shooting, the weight of grief can feel unbearable. As a community of faith, we come together with humble hearts, lifting these families before God, trusting that even in the deepest sorrow, He is near.
Scripture reminds us that “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18) We hold onto that promise as we pray for those whose lives have been forever changed. We ask for God’s comforting presence to surround them, for his peace to rest gently on their hearts, and for His strength to sustain them through each moment.
We pray not only for comfort, but for hope — hope that, even in the darkness, God’s love remains steadfast and unshaken. May these families feel carried by prayers, supported by compassion, and held in the everlasting arms of the creator who feels every tear.
Let us come together in love, lifting up these grieving families in prayer, asking for healing, grace, and the quiet assurance that they are not alone.
If you have lost a loved one to a mass shooting, please know that our hearts are with you in this time of grief.
At St. Michael’s Shield, we believe in the power of prayer and remembrance. We would be honored to pray for your loved one’s eternal peace and healing for your family. Once a year, St. Michael’s Shield prays for all the victims that have lost their lives to school shootings.

St. Michael Protect Us
Saint Michael the Archangel
Defend us in battle
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray
And do though, Oh Prince of the Heavenly Host
By the divine power of God
Cast into hell satan
And all the evil spirits
Who prowl about the world
Seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen
